Introducing David Beeby the new High Sheriff of Cumbria. The High Sheriff is appointed personally by the Sovereign for one year and is her representative in the county in all matters relating to the judiciary, the maintenance of law and order and the administration of justice.

In 2020 High Sheriff Julie Barton asked me to design a website for her year in the role. One that could be passed on every year to the new High Sheriff. Julie’s year has come to an end and she has passed the position on to David Beeby.

I have updated the website to introduce David and highlight his focus ‘Better Tomorrow’ for the year to come. David hopes everyday is about improving the foundations of Cumbria to create better tomorrows for all Cumbrians, with a particular focus on the impact of COVID-19 on the younger generation. David has chosen to work with Cumbria Community Foundation in pusuit of this.
