What steps have we taken to infuse ethics into design and foster meaningful impact? At the founding of Lil Creative Studio we began questioning the environmental footprint of our print work, marking the start of our journey to where we are today.
2024 – Certified B Corporation
It has been a rollercoaster of a journey, but Lil Creative Studio are proud to announce that we are officially certified as a B Corporation! This recognition highlights our commitment to putting purpose before profit, and we’re especially proud to be identified with a Resource Conservation Impact Model. This means that the work we produce for our clients actively contributes to reducing environmental impact and lowering carbon footprints.
We achieve this through sustainable print practices and low-impact website design, ensuring that every project we undertake aligns with our mission of minimising environmental harm. Beyond this, we are dedicated to amplifying the voices of businesses that strive to make a positive impact on both people and the planet. By giving these businesses a platform, we help drive meaningful change toward a more sustainable and equitable future.
2022 – Design Declares
The pandemic shifted networking online, allowing us to connect with like-minded designers through Design Declares. In October, Lil Creative Studio became a signatory of this campaign; that brings together designers, agencies, and institutions to raise awareness and promote action within the design industry toward sustainability and responsible practices.
2021 – Digital Footprint
A chance remark during our Green Small Business certification prompted us to explore the hidden environmental costs of our digital lives. 2020 – Certification
We partnered with Green Small Business to achieve certification, which offers an Environmental Management System (EMS) standard specifically for small businesses. This accessible alternative to ISO 14001 allows companies to adopt sustainable practices, minimise their environmental impact, and showcase their commitment to eco-friendly operations, building trust with customers and stakeholders. 2018 – Green Hosting
As Lil Creative Studio transitioned from print to digital, we introduced Green Hosting services through a UK-based ethical provider. They offer green data solutions and are committed to better business, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and responsible practices that support our mission of fostering a positive impact on the environment.
2015 – Sustainable Print
The printing industry is known for its significant environmental footprint due to high energy consumption, solvent-based inks, and paper use. Drawing from previous experience, we created a rating system at Lil Creative Studio to assess print jobs across six areas, enabling clients to make ethical purchasing decisions.
