Which content creation website should I use?

Here at Lil Creative Studio we get A LOT of questions about which content creation website to use? You’ve got a brand, you’ve got your brand assets, you’ve had a photoshoot… so what to do next with your content? How do you make professional looking content imagery for your social media and website, and which content creation website should I use?

Well, these days there are LOADS of online photo editor’s/content creation websites for you to create really great assets for your online channels. Content is big business and updating your website imagery and uploading to social media frequently has big benefits. Exploring the different online editors can take time, but it is important to find the right fit for you, editing wise, as it will save you time in the long run.

What is a content creation website?

Many online editors allow you to upload your logo and your brand colours, and often have an additional image database and easy to use templates. These range of templates are for specific social media platforms; already the right size and shape, with many of them having useful themes you can follow such as ‘spring sale’ or ‘Mother’s Day offers’ etc. And with noticeable increases in video content across all social platforms, many of these editors have introduced video editing facilities into the mix.

Canva

A popular one with my clients and it’s not hard to see why, Canva is extremely easy to use and has many templates and extra features to enable you to create professional looking posters and advertising collateral. The templates on Canva are great for social media and it’s easy to upload your own images and turn them into Instagram stories, even with moving parts. The majority of Canva’s services are free but you can upgrade for a small fee and upload your brand colours so that the templates are personalised to your business.

Pixlr X

If you’re in a rush and don’t have time to ‘fiddle’ with an image then this editor is ideal, similar to Canva you can also use a variety of templates or simply upload your chosen image to optimise for your website. We especially like the remove background feature on the editor and the range of templates available that fit perfectly with Instagram.

Fotor

Perhaps the simplest of them all, Fotor is really user friendly making it easy and straightforward to resize any image you need, add text, move images about and create collages. Just like the other sites you can also have access to templates and fancy editing but what sets this editor apart from the others is its simplicity, it really is perfect for beginners or those that just simply do not have time for anything complicated.

We hope this helps answers your questions about which content creation website you should use, and that you take a little time to explore which one works best for you and your business. Creating professional looking content for your social media and website has never been so easy and there are many more content editor sites for you to explore out there. Making your sure your social media content is on brand and tells your business story will help with reach and engagement. Consistent and engaging content will help with enquiries and conversions.
